difficult to operate and material is too flexible
The material is flexible and the bottom can be lifted a few inches. If you cannot install it all the way down at the floor level, do not purchase as baby will be able to figure out how to get under it. It is also extremely difficult to operate and requires two hands to open and close it so cannot be used while holding baby. I would not purchase this item again

Thoughtfully designed and sturdy
Love this thing. It’s a good size and It’s sturdy. Prior to buying this one, I had purchased a plastic gate. My baby kept trying to climb it and he was gripping it so hard, I worried about him hurting his little hands on the edges. This one has a nice mesh. The toy that comes with it is a nice touch also.

Fantastic gate IF you can install it properly
Was quite skeptical of ordering this based on the amount of negative reviews but we are just planning to use it to gate off an area of the house to contain a few dogs when needed. If you end up purchasing this, do yourself a favor and watch the installation video from the manufacturer which can be found on YouTube. It took us two days to figure out that we had installed the wrong bracket on the roller side and we could not for the life of us figure out why the cover would not lock in place. The video gave us the visual we needed to figure out our installation error! Seems like it will work nicely now that the installation nightmare is over! Also one-handed operation is a lot easier after discovering from the reviews that once you unlock the roller side, you do not need to hold it in place.

Sturdy and safe
Bought 2 and it became a wide open space for my little one. I like it even though sometimes he doesn’t because he knows he is trapped. But because the space is wide he doesn’t complain too much.

My baby loves it
This playbin is great! The only thing i would say is be careful when you’re baby falls from playing they hit there heads on round nobs. And hit hurts them.

Almost great....
So, as fa4 as functionality goes, once it's installed, this works extremely well. Would have given 5 stars except for the instructions. Terrible. Small pictures, no actual parts list and the templates they provide to install the brackets on the wall were off by about 1/4 inch. Honestly, you would be better off eyeballing it. Overall - good product, but a little more time and detail for the instructions would really help

Great gate - exactly what I was looking for.
A bit tricky to install even using the hi-quality template it took my about four tries to get it right. Once I get it installed correctly it has been a great gate. Don't even notice that it is there when we are not using it. Been using it for a number of months now and no complaints otherwise.

Buy this now! Don't buy any other gate!
I don't know why I didn't buy this gate sooner! It is a dream! We have it at the top of our very steep staircase. It retracts nicely so it isn't in the way when we are trying to go up and down. It's not bulky like regular baby gates. However, when it is opened, it keeps the children securely upstairs and away from harm. It is solid and I never worry about my child falling down the stairs. My 5-year-old can operate it, but my 3-year-old cannot. This is handy because my 5-year-old is old enough to know when it is safe to open it and when it needs to be closed. I LOVE that the gate makes a sound when it is opened. It's loud enough for me to hear when I am downstairs so I know that the gate has been opened and the baby is at risk of falling. I also love that it comes with 2 sets of mounting hardware. We move the gate between our upstairs and our living room, depending on where we are. Don't waste your money on any other gate!

Great space-efficient baby gate
I love that when I’m not using this gate that it retracts and stays out of the way. It’s honestly not that challenging to install, just follow the templates and make sure you use the spacers if you have baseboards. When installed properly it’s sturdy and works great. I see videos on here and reviews talking about kids getting underneath it and they almost always state that they installed it above their baseboards. Makes sense, if you do a bad install, you’ll get a bad experience
