Child Proof
Bought this as a gate for my dog. I do not like that it is very child proof and sometimes it is difficult to open/close with the switch. Also, the mesh is not as sturdy as the video makes it out to be.

Surprisingly a great play pen!
I usually don't write reviews, but hopefully this helps others. I have other skiphop items and when I saw this play pen I fell in love, not so much with the price. I ordered it anyway. Assembly was easy, but they come together in the box, so the "taking apart" process was hard for me, but I'm also a small female. The instructions suggest to not assemble in a rectangle, but that's the reason I liked it because it fit my space perfectly. The frame is very sturdy and the mesh is Walmartzing! One of the panels is a door, which is pretty cool. My baby loves it, he can see me through the mesh and doesn't freak out. There are gaps between the panels, but they are huge, so arms and legs won't get stuck, but obviously keep an eye out. Love the color, the mesh, and the extra toy. Spent weeks looking for something that fit our needs and this one was definitely it.

Tighten it after it retracts into keepers
Good barrier, however, you have to tighten it after it retracts into the keepers on opposite side. Otherwise your cats will slip under it.

Great playpen!
This is a great high quality playpen gate. Love how easy it was to assemble. The sheer mesh gate allows baby to look out and still see us. I’ve quickly learned that my one year old likes to pull himself up and put his mouth on everything. It is sturdy and easy to wipe down. Highly recommend!!

Good for Unencumbered Parents
Low profile and high enough to even keep the cat out. One, it's loud when it retracts, like a mechanical raspberry. Two, it doesn't glide easily when closing and if you misjudge you get the raspberry of shame (which is not helpful in the middle of the night). It would be nice if it had a quiet mode. It does do what it promises and works well. It's also a lot of fun to kick open. A real stress reliever. Just don't have anything thing in your hands when trying to close it. You'll need both.

Toddlersaurus-rex
If you have a toddlersaurus-rex at home along with a newborn this would be a product for you.. have dishes to do or a dinner to make that your toddler won’t eat but need a safe place to keep your baby so your toddler doesn’t accidentally step on them? Do you also find yourself needing a place to hide so they can’t climb on you like a human jungle gym? Look no further... this had not only an aesthetically pleasing look but sturdiness you need to keep your baby (and you) safe. If you’re a first time parent, if it can keep a toddler out, it can keep your busy baby in :)

Game changer during quarantine
My husband and I needed a way to safely contain our 11 month old while juggling work, childcare and pets during quarantine. This is the perfect solution. It is large so provides plenty of play room but also folds flat so we store it away against a wall after bedtime to get our living room back. It’s portable and lightweight so easy to move around and provide a varied play area. The sides are easy to see through (kind of like pack n play material) and the frame is sturdy powder-coated metal. The colors are muted and patterns are cute - far from the eyesore play pens I desperately wanted to avoid. Everything we were looking for! Construction, design, and easy storage make it well worth the price tag.

Perfect for my pets and friends baby
I put this gate up in doorway. I had molding on both sides of doorway so I bought thin wood equal to molding size, painted wood (gave it a finished look) and put gate up. It is very safe, and painted wood (I applied) gave it a finished look. I am extremely happy.

Pulls out of the wall because the tension is so tight and complicated to release to use, but in place it works very well and really like how its barely noticeable on the wall when not using like a full on baby or dog gate

Great out of the way safety gate!
Got this in place of the tension gates we were just leaning against the doorway... Fine for a puppy, not safe for littles. I love that this installs in two locations... It's simple to move back and forth. I love that it is completely out of the way when not in use. I love that it can install at an angle... Ours is an inch or two off from a straight across install at one location. There is a little bit of a learning curve to opening and closing it... At first it would lock too soon on me (before it was all the way across into the catch on the other side), but you just have to turn the release button again to move it the rest of the way forward. At first we thought it was annoyingly loud when rolling back up... But we discovered that if you are pressing on the button while you do it, there is zero noise.

So far so good. Love the look and the ease of it. Would recommend this gate for anyone with babies. I don't see my one year old figuring this gate out anytime soon.
