Hard to expand as there is no way to buy single sections
Love this play pen. The only downside is that to actually increase the size of the enclosure you have to buy two full sets with the toy included. What a waste! I really need two more panels as others had mentioned to accommodate my 9m olds curiosity and mobility! I’m not fond of the idea of spending close to $400 just to get more space. Going to keep looking for another way to buy just a few more sections.

Looks good, but our unit looks like it was way off it's tolerances.
The gate looks great, but the item itself did NOT match the mounting template that was provided (the actual item and mounting points were probably about 1/2 taller than the mounting template that was provided, which necessitated additional holes being drilled. When the gate was installed, every other time it's being used, it will not extend from the retracted position no matter how you turn the release knob. When it does work however, it's an attractive gate that is effective at keeping our one-year-old away from the stairs.

For outside install, would be nice to have a trim piece for end/catch piece. Otherwise, great.

Worth the price!
We LOVE this playpen. Our apartment doesn't have appropriate areas for traditional baby gates, and we didn't want a playard or one of those "dog crate" looking baby playpens. This was the perfect find!! Really nice looking, fun activity wall for baby and can be used with just 4 or 5 sides if you don't always want to set up the full 6 panels. It is absolutely worth the price and I highly recommend it.

hated and uninstalled today
Received, installed, hated and uninstalled today. I got it to keep my dogs from going upstairs. Opening and closing is a nightmare. Three intelligent adults in my house and we were all swearing at the gate. You have to hold down AND turn the tiny lock knob and then reach to the other side of the stairs to grab the handle and slide it back. You have to make sure you slide it back very carefully or else it retracts crookedly and, oh the fun that ensues. I wish I spent the extra money on the Retract-a-Gate that has an option to have the gate locked or unlocked. If you'll excuse me now, I have to go fill in the holes and repaint the walls from installing and uninstalling.

Best dog gate for unusual spaces
FANTASTIC gate for those of us who live in alternative homes. Fits anywhere & with 2 sets of brackets you can move it from one place to another.

Really useful for a short period of time.
Great for a very short period of time when my baby still let me keep him in a play yard. It was super useful when he was first on the move but after about two months it became a designated toy area with an open gate. Really sturdy and attractive. Excellent for keeping your kid out of something, like the Christmas tree or away from a sick dog. Not as easy to keep a child contained inside. Lol
