Great choice for baby-containment!
Our seven month old started crawling much earlier than anticipated. So we needed a safe place for him to be while we made bottles/answered the door/etc. because he can’t be contained in a bouncer or other seat anymore. We love this - easy to put together, much more attractive than other options, feels very sturdy and no footholds for baby to climb!

Great Choice for our Furbabies
This is awesome. It's out of the way when not in use. We used to keep a gate up during the week and then take it down on the weekends. It was aggravating. This one stays up and looks great. It's there when you need it. The only thing is that there's a slight learning curve using it if you choose an inside mount like us. You need to pull it out extra far, then back it up into the slots. If you go short, you must start over again.

If you have stuff in your hands good luck trying to open this gate
If you have stuff in your hands good luck trying to open this gate. Really not useful in high traffic areas when you're caring stuff with one hand or have a dog you have to control when trying to answer the front door.

the mesh has a wrinkle in it like it's not mounted on the bar evenly
I bought this gate to replace a wooden swing gate we had going into our kitchen. We use ours to keep our dogs confined to the living room and hoped the retracting feature would solve our difficulties of propping the swing gate styles open when carrying in groceries. I used the templates and installed the gate per the instructions. When unrolled and latched, the mesh has a wrinkle in it like it's not mounted on the bar evenly. Also, the mesh of the gate is easily pushed up from the bottom and our dogs are able to go right underneath it. Overall, not a bad gate and would be ideal for the base of a set of steps, but not useful for our purposes.

Disappointed
We are very disappointed in this product. Our walls are 55 inches apart and this product does not reach. We purchased the spacers separately and this gate still doesn't reach!

Cat-scratch proof (so far)!
Very sturdy and I’m not afraid of it toppling over at all. We have two cats that have scratched and chewed up so many of baby’s things (car seat covers, stroller fabric, playmat, etc) but this has held up! The mesh is very durable and even though the cats love stretching against the panels, they have not ripped through a single hole. The play panel is also definitely a winner and it might be the biggest factor in getting baby to stand up soon.

Love that they hide away so easily
Purchased 3 of these gates! Love that they hide away so easily. The only downside is not being able to open with one hand. It makes it really difficult when you're carrying a child or other belongings.

It does the job.
Super loud when closing. Wouldn't recommend having it close to sleeping kids. The templates to install were great. I was worried about having it all line up. However, some kind of adhesive on the top and bottom would be great and make it easier to put up. Also, don't forget to take them down after drilling :D I left one on, oops. I did have to buy the extension kit and ended up only using one side. The other side was too wide for how the railing on my stairs is. Too close to a door frame, had to use a piece of wood. When opened, the top flops a little. It's not a tight stretch, but the bottom is. It isn't slanted at all, so I'm not sure why it flops. None of the pieces are labeled and it makes it a little frustrating to figure out which one is which. Would reccomend, just have patience.

Good pretty but a little difficult to close
I like the looks of this. Very hard to close with one hand. We had to lower it flush because dogs slipped right under.

Love these!
I really love these! I've used a number of other gates over the years, but these are by far my absolute favorites! They're so unobtrusive. We really never notice them when they're not in use. Definitely a great buy.

AWESOME
If you have a climber, this is the baby yard to get. My 09 month old feels that no walls should keep him and I disagree. With the mesh instead of the usual plastic on the walls, there isn't a place for them to put their feet on. Also the mesh provides are more open feel than the plastic. I am so glad I bought this (although the baby laments it).
