Not ideal for pets
I tend to think of babygates as interchangeable for pet gates but this one didn't quite work out. We have this mounted at the top of the stairs and our puppy pushed on the mesh enough that it stretched out the bottom and she can sneak under it out. I don't think you should be able to do that with a quality product and I could see a child doing the same. In addition, it requires 2 hands to operate - one to push down and twist (which works unreliability - maybe 50% of the time) and the other to unclip it. I get that is the design and most retractable are probably like that but it is still a pain I didn't realize when buying it.

Highly recommend!
I could not be happier with my purchase. It was not cheap but beyond worth it. Finally have a nice roomy place to set down my rambunctious 15 month old for him to run around in and play with his toys without worry of him getting into things or places that are unsafe. He is happy as a clam in his play space. It is big enough of a space even for me to climb in with him to crawl around and play or read his books. He can’t climb over the sides or knock it down (and he’s in the 99th percentile for height - he’s a big strong boy). There’s nowhere for him to cut himself or to get his fingers or arms stuck. I can turn my attention away for a moment here and there now to do dishes or work on the laptop nearby knowing he is okay. What a sanity saver. Can’t recommend this playpen highly enough!

Love this playpen. So much nicer looking than other ones on the market and fits in beautifully with our living room decor. Very easy to use!

Thumbs up for form and function
Love this enclosure! Gives me such peace of mind and allows my baby to see me without getting little fingers hurt in plastic. Not as bulky and ugly as traditional play areas. Sturdy enough for my chunky 7 months old to pull up on too! Should have bought it sooner!

Customizable, using to contain dogs
The mounting options on this are great, you can do either in the doorway or outside of it. I ordered black but wish I went with white, it's maybe too contrasting against the white walls. We got this to contain our two dogs (mini dachshunds) which unfortunately are able to escape out the bottom. This is likely my fault because I had to mount it above our trim (about 2" from the ground), and I will attempt to remount it to be flush with the ground and see if they can still get through.

Nice sturdy and functional
Good gate for the one bottom of our split staircase. We have 2 auto latching aluminum gates, one at the top of the stairs and the other at the other split. This is nice as it won be in the way when you are walking down the stairs carrying a kid, laundry, or both. The when you pull it shut the kid can't climb up the stairs anymore. It has a locking mechanism that is a but tricky, but makes it kid proof. It's sleek and looks good, and while it comes with 2 sets of mounts so you can move it, the gate will only mount in a manner that you pull the gate from left to right, just how the latches are.

Very sturdy!
So far this has been a great product! It is very sturdy!! I love that I can see you hat baby is doing. He loves the activity board it comes with. My only complaint is I which the joints were more hinged do it would fold. When I want to vacuum I have to completely disassemble it. Not a huge deal, but it is inconvenient. That is why I took off one star for ease of assembly.

Great for blocking areas
I first used this in the pentagon snapped pin, but I have such a small living room it was taking up too much space. I unassembled it and used it to block off the tv and another area and works great!

Sturdy. Good quality, it may take a minute or two to put together, but thats what makes it sturdy.

Expensive
Not super stable standing alone. Will have to mount to wall eventually. I love the design. Price is pretty steep considering the stability.

Versatile, large, and well made
This is a big playpen! But that's really nice when you baby gets older and starts to roll and crawl. We haven't used it as a barrier but that's a nice bonus. This was gotten to use for my 2 year old to learn this is baby sister's area. I'm sure he can get it open, but we're teaching him now it's a no zone until sister is older. It's nice to be able to do some chores around the house and not worry about your baby finding a small toy, etc while you doing laundry. Of course frequent checks are always necessary with little ones. But it's so nice that you can see through it and has a gate that makes access easy. This is expensive, but if I were planning on having more than one child it's well worth it. I saw some people said their baby could get out of it. Some kids can get out of anything, including a regular playpen. Most kids will be content with plenty of toys inside.

Much nicer then expected.
I really like this enclosure it surpassed my expectations. The enclosure is of nice quality and durable construction throughout. the door latch works quite well, I was presently surprised how well it worked. The mesh on each panel is nice and tight, and has a neutral look that fits well for many different decors. It's a hexagon enclosure and its span reaches just under 5 feet, measuring from the center of one panel to the center of the opposite side panel. Its a bit of a trick unpacking it and packing it back up, sandwiching two panels together can be tricky. Watch the video for a few snippets of assembly and disassembly. Sturdy
Arrived and sad to say it was ripped when we got it out of the box. Besides the rip..product is Walmartzing, sturdy, beautiful, modern, and so cute

A must-have!
Absolutely love this and we use it every day! My 8-month old loves pulling herself up and playing with the activity center. And it’s big enough that she can entertain herself in it with her toys while I wash dishes or vacuum or whatever. She also loves reaching through the vertical spaces to pet the dog or to pass toys back and forth with us.
